Sleep Like a Bear

sleepbear1

Man-eating art project makes for a warm, cuddly and functional sleeping bag for campers and a great way to shock your friends. Caution: Watch out for bear spray.

Eiko Ishizawa, a Japanese artist, was inspired to create The Great Bear Sleeping Bag by a news story she heard in 2006. A bear crossed over from the Italian side of the Alps to the Bavarian side and was unfortunately hunted down without good cause.

Ishizawa’s bear sleeping bag sculpture was constructed in 2007 of fake fur, rubber, foam, zippers, glass eyes and other textiles.

The most creative sleeping bag, I’ve ever seen! With no price tag, it could be out of my price range or it only exists as a one of.
