Paddle at the Point sets a new world record. More than 1,700 canoeists and kayakers converged on the confluence of Pittsburgh's three rivers to float together for 30 seconds, during Paddle at the Point, an event sponsored by Venture Outdoors- setting the new world record for the Largest Canoe and Kayak Flotilla.

The Ultimate Florida Challenge race was a success this year with 6 out of 8 participants finishing the race. This is an expedition style race that circumnavigates Florida. With a route of approximately 1,200 miles and a 40-mile portage, this is one tough race.

A group in Pittsburgh will be trying to set a new world record this summer for the largest canoe and kayak flotilla ever assembled. They’re asking all canoeists and kayakers around North America to be a part of the event.
