Canoe10, The Canadian Canoe Symposium
I've created this group for those of us attending this year's Canadian Canoe Symposium. A way for us use to share thoughts, rides perhaps, and hook up with paddling partners in advance of the May 14-16 weekend event. Afterward, maybe post your photos and video taken at the event.

Paul Adams replied to the topic Re: What's Your Favourite Algonquin Park Canoe Route? in the forums.
Barron Canyon is an annual stop for me... did you get a chance to stop by High Falls for a swim in the natural pools? Wonderful place for day trips especially with the family...

My wife an I are planning on entering the 2011 Yukon River Quest - www.yukonriverquest.com/as a mixed tandem canoe.
Does anyone here have any previous experience or words or wisdom?
From what I understand, the race is difficult but an incredible experience...

If you haven't done this (I hadn't, believe it or not) river, you should. My new favourite river, by far.
We paddled from Benoit to Driftwood Provincial Park on the Ontario side of the Ottawa. With kids it was six days, five nights. Trailhead ran our shuttle up.
The water was record low, but still very fun. Tons of class II backferry rapids.
Ask questions, I'm so excited, I can't stop talking about the river.
