Cliff Jacobson wrote an article in the Fall 2006 issue of Canoeroots Magazine that marked the 20th anniversary of his influential tome Expedition Canoeing.  Some things he felt were getting better, some worse.  How is it looking today?

 

New boat materials, communications, clothes, and an 'always in a hurry' mentality.  Lots had changed in canoeing when Jacobson wrote this article.  Are all of his points still valid today?
