Even the Kitchen Sink

Kind of like a high-tech wannigan for your car this invention has all the luxuries of home neatly tucked away right in your trunk.

The swissRoomBox is a system designed by professional mountain bike racer from the 90’s, Philippe Perakis. He was totally fine with dirt bagging it until, like so many of us, he decided to bring a travel companion along who was not so keen to eat off dirty dishes, sleep on the ground and not shower for a week.

Philippe designed and created the swissRoomBox to have all the amenities of home. What would that be you ask. Well how about a sink for doing dishes and washing up, a stove for cooking, a shower and even a double bed. It gets better. It has a built in 220-watt inverter to your blender for that ultimate tailgate party. It also has 25-litre water tank with hot water heater. Dirtbagging at it’s best.

The whole thing was designed to be modular and folds up and fits neatly in the back of just about any hatch-back, station wagon or SUV essentially turning it into an RV/camper.

The swissRoomBox is slated to hit the European market in October of 2010 and the company has stated that shipping will be available to North America.
