Canoe Beer

Last spring saw the launch of a beer true to our sport—Cracked Canoe. Moosehead, a brewery in New Brunswick, created a lager, according to spokesperson, Joel Levesque, for “the older, more mature consumers, that were looking for something different, something lighter in taste, lighter in calories and lighter in alcoholic volume.”

The new, light and slowly brewed beer has less than 100 calories and only 3.5% alcohol. The beer also coincidently markets to canoeists. What better way to say goodbye to your wrapped canoe on the Petawawa River than with a case of Cracked Canoe.

Please Note: Moosehead Breweries and Rapid Media do not endorse consuming alcoholic beverages while canoeing.
