Wabakimi and Beyond

How about exploring and documenting a truly wild place this summer?

wabakimi

Phill Cotton is founder and organizer of The Wabakimi Project, which is a unique grassroots volunteer initiative to explore and document the historical and traditional canoe routes of Wabakimi Provincial Park.

Since its inception in 2004, the scope of this ambitious effort has been expanded to include the canoe routes that lie on Crown lands adjacent to the park. They provide vital access to Wabakimi as well as strategic links to nearby provincial parks and conservation reserves.

Cotton will be presenting at Adventure Attic in Dundas, Ontario this evening. Canoeists are encouraged to come and discover what has been accomplished to date and what remains to be done in order to fulfill our mission "to promote the Wabakimi area as a world-class wilderness canoeing destination". It will also include information about self-directed canoe tripping opportunities in the Wabakimi area and how to participate in The Wabakimi Project.

People wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to info@adventureattic.ca or call Adventure Attic at (905) 628-2929.
