Want to quit your desk job and get outdoors? Here’s how.

First, go online to the Canadian Environmental Network, which has just launched a one-stop shop for all those people interested in ‘green’ and outdoor jobs.

This database allows for easy access to job hunters and those with positions to offer. There are a variety of opportunities available. You can be a canoe trip guide with Taylor Statten Camps in Algonquin Park, an organic farmer in Abbotsford, BC, a dog handler in Inuvik, NT and an executive director of the Petitcodiac riverkeepers in Moncton, NB.

Second, apply. Third, have a successful interview. And last but not least, quit your job!

Fifth, if nothing works out…just take the summer to canoe trip!
